Firms working in the creative industries have been asked to provide eight-week traineeships for Newham youngsters.
Create Jobs, set up to help tackle youth unemployment in the Olympic host boroughs, has already placed 100 people in the cultural sector.
It has pledged to match and recruit trainees to places that offer to join the scheme.
Steve Moffitt, from A New Direction, which works on behalf of Create Jobs, added: “We need to find a sustainable way to identify and train talented young people to take up these roles.”
