Eastside Community Heritage are appealing for stories from Newham’s nurses.
To celebrate 70 years of the NHS, the heritage organisation are putting together a booklet of memories from nurses in Newham, specifically from Plaistow.
They’re looking for 10 to 15 participants who could be interviewed over the next two months in time for the booklet’s release in June.
Hannah Forsythe from the charity said: “We hope to gather memories and experiences of nurses in the area who have spent their careers helping and caring for others.
“We’ve chosen to interview nurses in order to give a voice to those who are integral elements of the institution.
“By doing so, our aim is to preserve their legacy within this history.”
Eastside Community Heritage have been documenting the stories behind east London since 1993.
