The comedy is the touching story of Stratford-based couple Bindi and Mansoor. After thirty-five years of a loving marriage, Mansoor has vowed to return to Delhi after tiring of London life. Bindi however is determined to stay put and has assembled a whole host of friends and neighbours in an attempt to convince her husband to change his mind.

Director Kerry Michael, artistic director of Theatre Royal Stratford East said: “We’re really excited to be working again with the award-winning Tanika Gupta on this brilliant new comedy. Tony Jayawardena and Rina Fatania perform with real flair and we’re presenting the show in studio format which makes for a great atmosphere as the audience get to see the action unfold close-up.”
Tanika Gupta MBE is an award-winning playwright whose work includes Gladiator Games and Wah! Wah! Girls at Theatre Royal Stratford East, Sugar Mummies and Catch at The Royal Court, The Empress at the RSC, Bideshi, Flight and Banglatown Banquet for the BBC.

Audiences adored their irreverent and humorous appearances throughout the musical and often clustered around the stage door after the show to catch a glimpse of the couple. Writing a separate piece for these versatile actors was a total joy and will give audiences another chance to enjoy the fun and laughter of Bindi and Mansoor.”
