Free fun events at the House Mill in Stratford
PUBLISHED: 13:00 06 September 2012
Despite disappointing visitor numbers this summer Stratford’s historic House Mill is going ahead with this Sunday’s storytelling and family workshop events
Author Shamim Azad work ranges from Bangladeshi to European folktales, and her performance suses the lines between education and entertainment. Previous appearances have included the Museum of London, Liberty Radio, Lauderdale House, and the British Library along with events in Pakistan and New York.
At 11am and 2pm, she will run a family event of poetry and storytelling, including a fun craft project - for children aged 4 - 10. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and there is a restriction of a maximum of two children with each adult visitor.
The craft this Sunday will be to make marigolds, the official flower of the 2012 Games, along with garlands, brooches and fridge magnets - to take home.
Space is limited so to let organisers know if you will be joining them. Email: email@example.com, or telephone (020) 8980 4626, to leave a message.
The House Mill is on Three Mill Lane, E3 3DU.
