East London festival returns for weekend

A three-day festival of music, art and locally sourced food returns to Number 90, Hackney Wick’s constantly evolving multi-disciplinary venue today.

Artists Adam King and Kamila Bernacka launch a month-long exhibition as well as live DJ sets spanning house, blues, latino and funk, ska and disco.

Number 90 co-founder, Remi Landaz, said: “I think it is a combination of things getting together that makes it just great. We are trying to reproduce the feeling that you get with all these pop-ups.”

Though the venue is permanent, founders Remi and his partner Bruno Ciarmicoli are looking to constantly develop the space.

Remi said: “The venue is so big that with the art exhibitions we can change it in any way we want, painting the walls and utilising the space as much as we can.

“This is all our own. Myself and Bruno have always been about creativity and making people feel like they can have a good time. I like people to have an experience.”

Number 90 is at 90 Wallis Road.
