Brighten up the skies at London’s first Color Run Night

Summer may be reaching a wet and dismal conclusion, but a burst of light energy next weekend could kickstart your autumn in style.
Thousands will take to Stratford’s Olympic Park on Saturday for the capital’s first Color Run Night – a nocturnal take on the 5k race that has become synonymous with dizzying displays of colour, all in the name of a good cause.
The aptly named ‘Happiest 5k on the Planet’ will see runners don glow-in-the-dark shirts and a black light headlamp and take on a race like no other.
Illuminated colour zones and a magical bubble area are some of the night-time treats runners can look forward to, as they raise money for NSPCC, the event’s partner charity.
If lighting up the darkness weren’t enough, participants will end up partying the night away with the run’s signature Festival Finish, as Capital DJs and MCs get you to dance your (rainbow) socks off.
And at the start and finish lines runners will be showered with merchandise hurled out by color MCs.
Entries to The Color Run Night at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Saturday, September 5, at 8pm, are priced from £29. Participants should visit thecolorrun.co.uk/Night to sign up now.
