Low pay and long hours spent filming in sweltering conditions have brought stars of The Only Way Is Essex to the brink of strike action.
That is according to reports from a source close to the show.
Gemma Collins, Mario Falcone and Billi Mucklow were left fuming recently when scenes they had spent hours filming for £80 per day were cut.
“A lot of the cast members have been complaining about how hard they are worked for little money.
“On Sunday a lot of them put in a 13 hour day and later found their scenes had been dropped. There are a lot of unhappy stars at the moment,” a source told The Sun.
Another point of rancour for the stars of the ITV2 reality-drama is a ban on sunny holidays.
A veto is in place after the cast filmed a TV special in the Spanish resort of Marbella, in June.
An exclusive preview of Tim Rice’s new musical From Here to Eternity will be among the performances at this year’s West End Live.
