Despite what the weather may think, summertime is here again and a primary school in Stratford is holding a fete to celebrate with the community.
On Saturday June 30, the event at Maryland Primary School in Gurney Road will be opened by Deputy Mayor Cllr Hudson at 1pm and local residents are invited to join in the fun until 4pm.
Two bouncy castles have been hired for the children and the young at heart while Stratford firefighters display their fire engine and rescue skills in a demonstration for the crowds.
The fete will also include table top sales, face painting, games, prizes and a raffle.
Visitors to the Maryland Primary School summer fete are asked to use the Buxton Road entrance and entry is 30p per person or £1 for a family ticket.
Rod Stewart has added a second and final show to his ‘Time’ tour at The O2 in London in September.
