Blur will close the London Olympic Games without rehearsing “much” for the huge Hyde Park concert.
The comments by bassist and professional manufacturer of cheese Alex James, contrast starkly with the regimented preparation elsewhere for the Games.
But James insists everything will be alright on the night – August 13.
“The amazing thing is, we don’t seem to need that much rehearsal. It’s still totally locked in from all those years of playing together,” he explained.
“When we first started out together, being in a band was all we wanted to do and it was always approached with a great sense of joy and fun.
It’s great to leave it then be able to come back to it with that spirit we had in the beginning. We all just get really excited,” James told The Sun
Rod Stewart has added a second and final show to his ‘Time’ tour at The O2 in London in September.
