Back for another successful run, the East London Film Festival released tickets yesterday (Tuesday) to the excitement of film buffs everywhere.
Opening on June 13, the thirteenth edition of the festival will run for 13 days, closing on June 25.
Festival director Alison Poltock said: “There’s a recurring theme of the number 13 with this year’s festival which I’m expecting in this case will prove lucky.
“Standing up against massive events like the World Cup, I’m determined to make this the best ever East End Film Festival.”
British and international films make up the programme which promises to entertain, enthral and provoke debate.
Highlights include the world premiere of Derphamoria, from Ross Clarke, east London filmmaker and DJ, director of award-winning documentary Skid Row and co-founder of Lovebox.
To coincide with the World Cup fever, EEFF will also feature French film, You and the Night starring football legend Eric Cantona, with electronic music wizards M83 supplying the soundtrack.
