Hundreds of people are expected to attend an ‘Olympic Mela’ at the Flanders Field Community Centre in East Ham next month.
The Malayalee Association of the UK, Sree Narayana Guru Mission of the UK, and Kerala Catholic Association of the UK are jointly organising the event on July 15 lasting from 12.30pm to 6.30pm.
It will showcase several exciting and fun-filled events including track and field events themed on the Olympics, traditional and cinematic dances, Chenda Melam, belly dance, zumba dance and a live DJ.
There will also be several stalls on the sidelines.
Organisers have also contacted the likes of the London Fire Brigade, and Resources for Autism to see if they will attend.
