Cheryl Cole is reportedly on the verge of singing a deal to become a television chat show host.
The singer and former X Factor judge is wanted by Sky 1 to front a confessional show as its very own Oprah Winfrey.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Sky1 are desperate to get Cheryl to sign up.
“They’ve been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month.
“They think she could be the UK’s Oprah because of her reputation as the nation’s sweetheart and are willing to pay big bucks to get her on board.
“They want the show to be emotional and confessional, not just another run-of-the-mill celebrity show.”
Cheryl has avoided TV work since she was axed by Simon Cowell from her role judging the US ‘X Factor’ in 2011, and turned down an alleged £1 million offer to return to the UK version of the show.
The insider added: “Cheryl’s people think she would come across brilliantly. On ‘X Factor’ she found it easy to connect with people and viewers loved her for it.”
After stints in musicals, narrating plays and more, Moyet lays down more stunning vocals in a return to her electro-pop roots.
