Up and coming band the Ramona Flowers have announced a headline gig at the Sebright Arms this month.

Their music, with elements of pop, rock and electro, has been praised for its combination of styles and varying levels of emotion.

This performance comes after successful support shows for musical giants Bombay Bicycle Club and Bastille which the band say were among the highlights of their career.

Ramona Flowers singer Steve Bird said that headlining a show was a different but exciting experience: “Now people that come see us will be there to see us. Here you are in the main light and you have to deliver and put on a headline.

“I think we all enjoy that. Eventually we want to be headlining every show and that’s what we all strive to achieve.”

These big plans are already coming closer to fruition with the release of the band’s first single, Tokyo, later this month and the launch of a summer album, which Bird said is another big highlight.

“It was just a proud moment for us. It has probably taken close to two years to get it all written and recorded.”

He said that audiences could look forward to a diverse show encompassing all genres of music.

Steve added: “Its quite two-sided, our band. We’re quite emotional in some of our songs and some of our lyrics, but we’re quite energetic – we like to get the crowd going.”

The gig is on Thursday, April 24, and doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £6 advance. Visit the venue listings on sebrightarms.co.uk to book.
