An exhibition of paintings using “the human form as inspiration for stories of the soul” will be on show in Canning Town during the Olympics.
The Rosetta Windows Gallery will host Soul on Fire by artist Steve Marriott until September 8.
He aims to represent themes such as the undead, unrequited love, pain and submission, and freedom.
Mr Marriott said: “Some of the ideas behind the work were inspired by stories and writers that have meant something to me.
“I wanted to translate the feelings and emotional resonation from those works into my own artistic language.
“Others have emerged as I worked on them, the original intent changing as the ‘character’ that formed during the process took on a life and soul of its own.”
The exhbition will open at 26B Rathbone Market on August 2 at 6pm.
After stints in musicals, narrating plays and more, Moyet lays down more stunning vocals in a return to her electro-pop roots.
