The UK’s most comprehensive electronic music event is hitting Rich Mix in Bethnal Green Road this April.

Artists, promoters, record labels and industry legends will congregate for a weekend of panels and workshops to educate and inspire.

Open to anyone with a passion for the business, The London Electronic Music Event (LEME) will host some massive names including musician Theo Parrish, producer Kirk Degiorgio and Andy Peyton of London clubs XOYO and The Nest.

Event organiser Barry McManus said that the event gave access to even the most elusive personalities in dance and electronic music.

He said: “There seemed to be a gap in the market for an event where people could come down and talk about the industry and learn skills. It’s the kind of access that you would never get really. We are working with the community and empowering people with the knowledge of industry leaders and networking opportunities.”

Producer Greymatter, who will host a music sampling workshop along with fellow producer Mr Beatnick, said that attendees could look forward to some exclusive previews. This includes a track from his upcoming album, released in May.

He said: “The other good thing about the event is the balance between the industry and creative side.”

Greymatter added: “Last year there were some people who didn’t know much about the business and they were asking interesting questions.”

Barry said the event was going to be even bigger than last year with even more production sessions. He said: “Industry people will bring their kit down, giving people hands-on insight into the way they are doing things, which is a really big thing. People like to see how their favourite artists are making the music.”

Promoting icon, Andy Peyton added: It’s reflects really well on the people coming. I’ll be really impressed. When I was in my twenties, I never went to anything like this. I think it is great.”

LEME will run on April 12 and 13. Weekend tickets are now on sale for £60 and day tickets start at £15. Visit londonelectronicmusicevent.com to book.
