An interactive arts project celebrating quirky and interesting places in Newham is launched this month at Canning Town’s The Hub centre.
The project involves people being photographed at interesting and quirky spots around Newham and the results can be found at www.itsanewhamthing.com.
At the launch on September 20, open to the public from 6.30pm, an exhibition will showcase the panoramic photographs as well as a website and an audio-visual presentation showing people how they can join in and upload their own favourite places.
Visitors also have the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale printed map of the borough by pin-pointing their own chosen places.
Contact Chi Gavhure chi@newhamndp.co.uk for more information.
Avengers Assemble actor Thom Hiddleston and Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss are to star in a West End production of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus.
