As the Paralympic Games comes to our borough, a new exhibition of work entitled ‘Together! with Eastside Community Heritage’, the community charity running the People’s Museum and Gallery of Newham, will showcase the work of disabled artists alongside films from east London until Thursday 13.

Another Reminiscience session will take place for an hour on Wednesday from 2.30pm to 3.30pm for residents past and present to share their memories and photographs.

From Friday 14 to Saturday 22, ‘Old Ford Voices and Island Memories’ will feature as a guest exhibition from Tower Hamlets archive while Neil Fraser takes visitors ‘Over the Boarder’ east of the River Lea to talk about his new book.

The People’s Museum and Gallery of Newham, at High Street, Stratford, has welcomed more than 1,300 visitors over the past five weeks and it is open from 11.30am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday until the end of October.
