Ross Murray finished behind Commonwealth Champion, Silas Kiplagat
Twickenham resident Ross Murray is in good form going into the 1,500 metres at London 2012 after running a 3:52.77 at Crystal Palace, three tenths of a second behind Kenya’s Silas Kiplagat.
The 22-year-old has shaken off a string of injuries that nearly ended his career but he will now be going for gold in London.
“I absolutely loved it here today,” he told BBC Sport.
“Coming down the home straight I heard the crowd going nuts, and I knew it was for me.
“I’m pleased I could put on a show for them.
“I don’t know what it will be like in the Olympic Stadium, it’s going to be absolutely unbelievable.”
