Southwark-born Louise Hazel is set to complete a lifelong dream when she represents Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics.

The Birchfield Harriers Heptathlete will be looking to rival Jessica Ennis for a gold medal but she is just grateful for the opportunity.

“I have always dreamed of competing in the Olympics since I first took up athletics,” she said.

“It has been a long and hard journey to get to this point. I’ve trained and worked for it all my life and I’m very grateful to be a part of the Games.

“It’s a cliche to say it is a once in a lifetime opportunity but that is the way I see it.”
