Latest signing revealed for 2015-16 season

London Lions have brought in Jamal Williams to team up with his brother, earlier signing Kai Williams, for the 2015-16 season.

The 6ft 5in Williams signs from the Worcester Wolves where his 26-point outburst made him the MVP of the BBL Trophy Final in 2014 on the way to winning that title as well as the play-off final.

Last season he averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game in a season that saw the Wolves finish third.

The British passport holder graduated from Regina University in Canada and in his first stint in the BBL in 2010 won the BBL Championship with Mersey Tigers.

Lions coach Nigel Lloyd said: “Jamal has showed himself to be a very smart basketball player and a winner, his enthusiasm and team orientation will really take us a long way.”

Williams added: “Firstly I am grateful for the opportunity to keep playing but also excited to be in London and to play at this level again with my brother.”

Player sponsorship is now available for Jamal Williams on a first come, first served basis.

Lions fans can see the team in action at their first home game of the season on Friday September 25 when they take on Leeds Force at the Copper Box Arena.

The University of Massachusetts visit for an exhibition match on August 22 and tickets are selling fast for both fixtures.

Season tickets are also still available and give fans the opportunity to choose their own seat for the season as well as exclusive access to many activities involving the team.
