Hackney tennis hopeful excited by Olympics
Hackney’s Anne Keothavong has spoken of her excitement at competing in the London Olympics this summer.
Keothavong will play in the women’s singles and doubles, alongside Elena Baltacha, at Wimbledon and speaking at Team GB House in Stratford, she said: “Having the Olympics here in London is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.
“Competing in a Home Games will definitely be a highlight of my career.
“Just driving here in the team coach it’s amazing to see how much the area has changed.
“It’s great for this part of London, where I grew up, and the whole city itself to be hosting these Games, and you can already see the positive effect it has had.”
