The prospect of West Ham shipping out players before the end of the transfer window grew ever more likely today with the news that the club have brought another player to Upton Park in the shape of ivory Coast international midfielder Abdul Razak.

The 21-year-old former Manchester City player has signed on a short-term deal and that is set to trigger some departures from West Ham as they look to sort out their 25-man squad for the rest of the season.

Razak, who made his Premier League debut at the age of just 18, has five caps for his country and most recently played for Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala, where he played in both Europa League clashes against Tottenham Hotspur.

The highly-rated midfielder does not seem to be a top priority on manager Sam Allardyce’s shopping list unless, of course, other players leave the club.

Alou Diarra is tipped to return to France, while the futures of Modibo Maiga, Ricardo Vaz Te and Mo Diame are all subject to speculation.

West Ham have now signed four players since the start of the window with loan captures Roger Johnson, Mario Borriello and Antonio Nocerino arriving before Razak.
