Year Five football: Roman Road School 1 Shaftesbury Primary School 4

A first half double from Florian Envoudou-Ada helped Shaftesbury Primary overcome Roman Road in Tuesday’s Year-Five football match.

After a slow start, Envoudou-Ada managed to drive the loose ball home from 15 yards out.

Both teams were passing the ball around well but it was Shaftesbury who increased their lead when a neat pull back across the area allowed Amaan Sufi to tap in at the back post.

Envoudou-Ada added another piledriver before the break to put them in full control of the tie.

Early pressure didn’t amount to a fourth straight away and Roman Road made the most of a defensive mix-up to pull one back.

Shaftesbury soon restored the three-goal margin though with an almost instant reply, as Sultan Adewale slotted home a 15-yard volley.

Shaftesbury’s next game comes tomorrow away at Sheringham.

Shaftesbury: Sultan Adewale, Amaan Sufi, Omari Thompson, Dilaksan Paramananthan, Florian Envoudou-Ada , Vivek Patel, Andrew Brown, Mohammad Khan, Harun Aslam
