Orient travel to Shrewsbury tonight and a point will take them back into League One’s automatic promotion places.

The O’s beat the Shrews 3-0 back in August thanks to a double from David Mooney and one from Moses Odubajo but manager Russell Slade will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the league having crashed out of the FA Cup at Yeovil.

The Glovers won 4-0 as Orient’s injury problems caught up with them. Slade made the decision to leave striker Kevin Lisbie on the bench with Shrewsbury in mind and the 35-year-old is likely to be recalled to the starting line-up tonight.

The manager, who admitted he celebrated Gillingham’s late winner against Wolves on Friday, says attention will now turn to the league after the cup exit.

Slade said: “It is a difficult time for us as we have got injuries and we are still trying to get results.

“We need to put the Yeovil game in the FA Cup to one side, we have lost nothing in the league.

“I was jumping up and down when Gillingham got a goal. It gives us a great opportunity to get back in the top two and that is our priority between now until the end of the season.”

A host of new signings could make their full debuts for the club after signing on loan.

Goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic is available for selection having joined on loan from Hull, as is striker Jamar Loza who has arrived from Norwich.

Fellow striker Shaquile Coulthirst, an exciting prospect from Spurs, could make his first start having come off the bench against Yeovil while Jamie Ness may make his first league appearance for the O’s after completing the 90 minutes on Saturday.

Jamie Jones (back) and Shaun Batt (hamstring) are long-term absentees while Mooney and Romain Vincelot are still not ready to return from foot and knee problems.

Robbie Simpson also missed the trip to Yeovil with a hamstring strain and Marvin Bartley, who was unavailable because of the terms of his loan, has a back complaint.
