The O’s make the trip to the Keepmoat Stadium on the back of a goalless home draw against MK Dons as Orient remain winless at Brisbane Road this season.

However, their away form is the complete opposite and they head into tonight’s match looking to keep up their unbeaten run on the road.

And Woods, who has come into the side following the injury picked up by Adam Legzdins, is keen to get one over on his former employer after being released at the end of the 2012-13 season despite playing 49 of their 53 games on the way to promotion from League One.

“To be honest I don’t really mind what reaction I get,” said Woods. “I am a Leyton Orient player now and I would like to get promoted with them. I’m going there for the three points whether I get a good or bad reception.

“I had a great time there, we won the league and I played in almost every game.

“I have got no hard feelings, but hopefully we can go there and put in a performance and get the three points.

“We seem to be better away from home at the minute but every game in this league is difficult and we want to come back with maximum points.”

Woods started the season on the bench, with Legzdins preferred as the number one keeper at Brisbane Road.

And though he has had to bide his time, the former Manchester United youngster is keen to make the most of his chance.

“Every player wants to play. I had last season at Watford where I didn’t and I wanted the chance to play regularly again,” he added.

“Adam came in before me which was an issue but I just got my head down and worked hard. When you get your chance you have got to take it so at the moment it is mine to lose.”

The 24-year-old played his part in Saturday’s goalless draw with MK Dons, denying Mark Randall from distance and then deflecting over Benik Afobe’s rebound.

And having picked up points from tough games against the Dons and Sheffield United in recent weeks, Woods hopes the O’s can build on those results tonight.

“The club had a lot of success last season and we want to build on that again,” he said. “A lot of the games, particularly at home, we have been unlucky. We all know we have thrown a couple away against 10 men but sometimes in football you have starts like this and we want to build on what we have got from now on.

“As a team performance we kept a clean sheet against MK Dons and we’ve not kept many at home so hopefully we can build on that and start climbing the table.”
