It’s another game on their travels for Leyton Orient tonight when they travel to Bristol City, but striker Kevin Lisbie is keen for his side to build on their 3-1 win over Oldham Athletic on Saturday.

Lisbie netted the third in the victory having just come on the pitch after goals from Darius Henderson and David Mooney saw the O’s come from behind.

And with added confidence after the first league win of the season, Lisbie hopes the squad can continue where they left off at Boundary Park against one of the much-fancied sides in the division.

“We were good in the second half at Oldham and we were well worth the win in the end,” said Lisbie.

“This first month was always going to be tough with so many away games but we will always back ourselves to do well.”

Lisbie believes the clash against the Robins tonight will be one of their toughest this season, against a much-improved side who initially struggled to take to League One life last term.

“We’ve got a good squad now and there is a lot of strength in depth now,” he added.

“You need to have options and I am glad to be part of this squad. Bristol City will be one of the hardest games this season though.

“They had a strong squad last season and they have added a few to it so we are in for a tough encounter.

“As always scoring the first goal will be important but you can see why they are one of the favourites to go up.”

The amount of miles on the road for the O’s is staggering at this stage of the season, and thought it has affected the training schedule, Lisbie believes they can keep on winning.

“We’ve not really done too much training over the last few weeks because of the schedule,” he added.

“When you are winning that’s alright and hopefully we can do that. The key is to keep everyone fit as well.”
