Millwall’s Wright training with Leyton Orient

Former O’s loanee Josh Wright is training with the club, but interim manager Kevin Nugent ruled out a deal for the Millwall midfielder.
Wright recently returned to the New Den following a loan with fellow League One Crawley Town and has spent the week training with the O’s.
But Nugent insists the 24-year-old, who featured twice while on loan last season, will not be making a return to Brisbane Road with rumours that Wright is set for a move to America and MLS side Chicago Fire.
“Josh has been out on loan elsewhere recently and he’s a really good lad,” said Nugent.
“He’s a good trainer and he asked to come down. His situation is that he’s come in to train and we are just keeping him fit.
“He’s in training for a week and we are light on numbers so he builds us up a bit for training.”
Free agent Hogan Ephraim has also been spending time with the club, after he was released by Queens Park Rangers in the summer.
He featured for the O’s in the 3-0 development team loss to Peterborough United on Tuesday, and while believing the former West Ham youngster could do a job for someone, it won’t be Leyton Orient.
“He’s been training and he is a decent lad and we got him in training to have a look at him,” added Nugent. “We won’t be pursuing it but he’ll do someone a job without a doubt.
“Sometimes you find a lot of players have been out for a while and they are pretty much unemployed and we are in October so it is difficult for them to keep their fitness up.
“They go into various clubs and train and that’s what it was, he came in to train and we’ve given him a week’s training to get his fitness up, but we won’t be pursuing that one.”
