Leyton Orient midfielder Lloyd James faces a lengthy spell on the touchline after suffering a broken leg.

The 26-year-old had only just returned to the O’s team following a thigh injury which kept him out of the team for several weeks, and made his 100th appearance for the club against Scunthorpe United on September 20.

But the Welsh midfielder went in for a 50/50 challenge after 25 minutes of yesterday’s 3-2 home defeat to 10 men Rochdale, and came off worse.

He immediately went to hospital where James learnt the extent of the injury, which now means he will face an extended spell on the sidelines.

James joins Kevin Lisbie (shoulder) as another long-term injury for the O’s as the look to turnaround their home form, with the Brisbane Road side yet to win in front of the home faithful.
