Three second half goals at Hargrave Park result in east Londoners dropping to 15th in the table

A poor second half display resulted in London Bari going down 4-0 at Stansted in the Essex Senior League.

Chris Davis and his team were buoyant going into the match after a 2-1 success at Eton Manor on Saturday.

But the Bari boss had to name himself amongst the substitutes at Hargrave Park and would have expected a tough test.

The hosts started well and had a couple of chances before Jack Isherwood opening the scoring towards the end of the first half.

Initially Bari responded well, although they were unable to get back on level terms before the break.

Both teams began the second period positively and squandered good chances to get on the scoresheet.

The second goal was always going to be crucial and Theo Brown ensured it went to Stansted when he headed home a corner.

Unselfish play by Like Meadwright resulted in Brown doubling his tally and extending the Airportmen’s lead soon after.

And Connor Martin made it 4-0 before full time to hand Bari another defeat in the division and see them drop to 15th.

Davis and his team can take a break from the league now as they visit Broadfield United in the first round of the FA Vase on Saturday.
