The former West Ham amateur (pictured above), who suffered a first-round defeat against Steve O’Meara at York Hall last December, came back with a two-round win over Blackpool rival Jason Ball at Brentwood.

Now he is back with a scheduled 10-round contest on the next Goodwin show which also features two other winners from the Brentwood bill – middleweight Joe Mullender and light-welterweight Phillip Bowes.

The July 7 show also features Michael Devine, Leon Senior, Gavin James, Jack Morris and Ian Lewison.
