Canning Town’s Camacho featured in the Prizefighter prospect bout – beating Preston’s Jack Morris in just two rounds.

He was satisfied to win his fourth pro fight and made a bold prediction, saying: “I will be British cruiserweight champion next year.”

Camacho started confidently against Morris with the northerner on the receiving end of some solid shots in the opening round.

The Preston fighter tried to hit back in the second session, but Camacho still found the target to shake Morris, who retired with a hand injury at the end of the round.

The show also featured the Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights tournament.

New Yorker Hamer defeated Atlanta’s former World title challenger Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson in the all-US final to take the £32,000 winner’s cheque.

“It’s a huge boost for my career – my name is out there big time now and I’m hunting the big fights with the big names,” said happy Hamer.

Hamer clinched a tight quarter-final win points win over over Brazil’s Marcelo Luis Nascimento, before his savage assault on home entry Tom Dallas in the semi- final saw him win in just 29 seconds.

A powerful right rocked Peacock Gym-trained Dallas, and he was a sitting target as Hamer poured on the punches and forced the early finish.

Earlier, in his quarter final, Dallas proved too good for three-bout novice Tom Little in a thrilling clash that saw the Hertford boxer hit out gamely before he tired and allowed Dallas to force the stoppage in the third round.

Prizefighter International Heavyweights results – Quarter-finals: Albert Sosnowski beat Maurice Hamer – split decision; Kevin Johnson beat Noureddine Meddoune – TKO round one; Tor Hamer beat Marcelo Luis Nascimento – unanimous decision; Tom Dallas beat Tom Little – TKO round three.

Semi-finals: Kevin Johnson beat Albert Sosnowski – split decision; Tor Hamer beat Tom Dallas – TKO 29 round one.

Final: Tor Hamer beat Kevin Johnson – unanimous decision.
