London Lions got the better of Glasgow in their pre-season friendly at UEL SportsDock.
They started slowly as the visitors opened with an 8-0 run, but Justin Robinson hit the first basket for the Lions as they steadied themselves.
And the home side’s defence began to get to grips with Glasgow’s dangerman to ensure they were only 23-19 down at the first break.
Momcilo Latinovic tied the game as the Lions began to pressure their opponents, while GB centre Kieron Achara pulled a groin muscle and would miss the rest of the game for Glasgow.
Lions led 52-48 at half time, but a poor start to the third quarter allowed Rocks to go up by five, before Moritz Lanegger and Latinovic led a charge that put the hosts back in front.
Glasgow guard Holmes then injured his knee, which led to a 15-minute delay and was confirmed as a torn patella tendon, and Lions moved 73-67 up by the break.
In the fourth quarter, the Lions pushed their lead out to 14 points before a late flurry from the Rocks, including a three at the buzzer, closed the gap to six.
Latinovic led all scorers with 23 points on 9/12 shooting, going into the British All Stars Championship at the O2 Arena, with the BBL campaign starting on Friday in Worcester.
Lions; Latinovic 23, Robinson 19, Flannigan 18, Peel 13, Guede 6, Isenbarger 5, Ikhinmwin 4, Lanegger 3, Hall 3, Lockhart 2, Roberts, Lashley, James.
