St Francis’ year 1/2 team demonstrated their versatility to triumph in the Langdon Academy Sports Partnership Sports Hall Athletics competition.

Up against 12 other local schools, the combined boys’ and girls’ scores saw St Francis finish first, ahead St Edward’s in second and third-placed St Luke’s.

In the girls’ section, St Francis’ finished first overall by almost 30 points, having recorded the best score in the field events.

St Francis’ also did well in the boys’ category, finishing second behind St Edwards by just six points, despite having picked up the best score in the track races.

When the scores the boys’ and girls’ events were combined, it was enough to see St Francis’ finish 40 points clear of St Edward’s.

The other schools to take part in the latest event were St Helen’s, Aldersbrook, Essex, Altmore, Elmhurst, Nelson, Sheringham, St Joachim’s, Avenue and GGSK.
