Crimefighter thanked

A Manor Park man's efforts to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in his neighbourhood were rewarded with an invite to the Houses of Parliament.

Craig O'Brien met Home Secretary Alan Johnson during the dinner at the Palace of Westminster.

He was nominated for his work supporting residents and fighting crime and anti-social behaviour in his role as chair of Manor Park Village Neighbourhood Watch.

As part of his role, he has helped the police close down premises linked to crime and helped community engagement officers deliver leaflets.
