Star-struck students met one of their favourite authors when she opened their new school library on Friday.
British author Catherine Johnson discusses about her books with librarian students Jubaed Shah Mohammed, left, and Mohammed Huzma.Catherine Johnson, author of children’s books such as Arctic Hero and Face Value, was the special guest of honour at Rokeby School on Barking Road, Canning Town.
According to assistant head teacher Grant Leppard, the boys are big fans of Catherine’s books so the school contacted her publishers and she agreed to open their new library.
Catherine stayed for a little while after the launch to talk to the students about her work and sign books.
