How did you celebrate your birthday? If you’re internet star Sam Okafor, it seems the answer is by inviting all your fans to Westfield Stratford City.

The Nigerian-American singer, who has amassed a huge following through his videos on Vine under the name SamTakesOff, arranged a meet and greet with his fans on Monday, July 28.

Thousands chased the 19-year-old through the shopping centre, even bringing the escalators to a halt with the number of people.

The crowd was so big he had to move the planned event from the food court to outside, where those who wanted to meet him stood in line for up to three hours.
