There were chaotic scenes last night when a signalling failure caused huge delays to rush-hour trains into and out of London.
Tens of thousands of commuters trying to get home, as well as Olympics spectators trying to get to or from venues, would have been affected by the failure in the Cannon Street area.
Southeastern services were being delayed by more than an hour in some cases, and also diverted from their usual routes.
There were also warnings to avoid London Bridge station, one of the hotspot stations for the Olympics, due to overcrowding.
Passengers were facing long delays to get on to trains because of the volume of people that built up at the station.
There were yet more problems this morning on train services through London Bridge and Cannon Street, causing delays to commuters and visitors alike.
