The Tour de France may be over, but it has already left a legacy for one man and his son.

To celebrate the iconic bike race passing through the borough, Stratford Shopping Centre had a cycle of their own to give away to one lucky visitor.

Garrett Matthews was announced as the winner of the Muddyfox Tempo Hybrid bike and immediately announced his plans for it.

He said: “I am pleased to have won the bike from Stratford Shopping Centre, as my eldest son will start secondary school in September and will be able to use the bike to travel to and from school.”
