The proposed strike by Docklands Light Railway workers that was due to take place tomorrow and Thursday has been called off.

The RMT union called strike action last week but commuters were alerted to the cancellation on the electronic boards at the stations this morning.

A message on the Transport for London website confirmed the cancellation.

It was planned because of a dispute between the union and Serco over pay and working conditions.

Services will continue to run as normal.

More to follow.
