An Olympic ticket from when runner Mo Farah took Olympic gold was among memorabilia buried in a time capsule.
Time capsule event at Uban Wilderness Gardens, Plaistow.Children belonging to a choir at Curwen Primary School joined residents as they lowered the time capsule last Friday at Urban Wilderness gardens.
Other items included a copy of the Newham Recorder, the Sun newspaper, a receipt to reflect the cost of shopping, and a USB stick with images showing how the derelict land on First Avenue in Plaistow was transformed into a community garden.
The Olympic ticket belonged to Newham councillor Forhad Hussain, who also attended the event.
A sign has been erected instructing residents involved with the garden to dig up the time capsule in 2022.
The community garden was set up in 2011 as a place for residents to grow vegetables and flowers and hold social events. Volunteers are still needed for tasks such as creating a pond.
