Three teenagers accused of murdering an Upton Park market trader will stand trial next month.

A 16-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were told that their trial at the Old Bailey would begin on June 23 during an appearance in court last Thursday.

Market trader Rashid Naeem, 29, of Clements Road, East Ham, was stabbed while selling mobile phones at his stall on Queen’s Market in February.

He is believed to have become a father for the second time shortly before his death.

The trial is expected to last three to four weeks.
