Teenagers write, direct, produce - and then finally perform - at Stratford Circus

A teenage cast wrote, directed, funded, produced and performed their own play at Stratford Circus.
BLOCK, co-written by 16-year-olds Malcolm Ebose and Jayden Halliday with the artistic director of Think Big Theatre, was performed in front of 160 people across two nights last week.
The entire set was made by the youngsters, who raised £2,000 to hire the venue to make the performance happen.
Writer and assistant director Malcolm Ebose, 16, said: “This project gave us an invaluable experience that we will never forget; as young actors we had the opportunity to bring life into the characters that we had imagined and to take ownership of their individual journey.”
Anna Whatley, artistic director of Think Big Theatre, added: “I am exceptionally proud of the staggering achievement of these dedicated, focused and inspirational young people.”
