Shoppers in Stratford were treated to a chocolate wonderland over the Easter weekend.

Stratford Shopping Centre transformed into a confectionary paradise filled with candy cane hills, giant props and yummy inventions.

Children were able to decorate their very own scrumdiddlyumtious chocolate bar with snap, crackle and pop toppings at a special tasting area.

The youngsters were also given the chance to wear a lab coat and a pair of testing goggles in the invention room where they mixed together various ingredients to create their very own experiment.

In addition, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fans met Willy Wonka with his Oompa Loompas and took a ride in a glass elevator.

Tony Whitehorn, centre manager, said: “The event was a huge success and definitely put smiles on shoppers faces as there was something for everyone.”
