Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is set to play host to Sport Relief this weekend.
This evening’s televised extravaganza will see the Copper Box Arena play host to some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment, featuring one-off sketches, live performances and chats with some of the celebrities who have taken on sporting challenges over the past few weeks.
It will also feature the Clash of the Titans event, with Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave and former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff captaining two star-studded sides taking on a range of events throughout the park.
Meanwhile, there is the chance to get fit while fundraising by running, swimming or cycling at the Sport Relief Games on Sunday.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is one of six locations across the country to host a flagship event, with music and entertainment throughout the day.
David Goldstone, the LLDC’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have Sport Relief back on the Park for another year.
“I would encourage everyone to get involved, it is easy to do and a great way to help change people’s lives.
“I’m looking forward to getting my running shoes on and joining the thousands of runners in the Sport Relief Mile.”
