Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Plaistow Park on Saturday.

Officers were called to the park at about 3.10pm to reports of an altercation in the Balaam Street park.

A teenage boy was found with a number of stab wounds and was taken to an east London hospital with serious injuries.

Police are seeking to trace two men believed to have been involved in the incident.

The first is described as a black man aged approximately 16 to 18 years old, about 5’8 and wearing a white tshirt and grey jogging bottoms.

The second is described as a dark skinned black male and wearing a white tshirt.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
