Photos have been released showing how the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is changing and what it will look like when it reopens.

The images were released six month after the Olympic Opening Ceremony by the London Legacy Development Corporation, overseeing the park.

Since the park began its transformation nearly all of the temporary Games facilities have been removed, including the Riverside Hockey Stadium.

Work has also begun to dismantle the Basketball Arena and the Waterpolo Arena.

A number of events for when the Park begins to open in July 2013 have been secured.

Live Nation is relocating two of its biggest music festivals from Hyde Park and will be staging concerts at the Olympic Stadium from July.

Sport will return to the park as the Olympic Stadium hosts the British Athletics London Grand Prix this summer. Badminton England will also host the London Grand Prix at the Copper Box this October.

The Legacy Corporation’s chief executive, Dennis Hone, said: “We are making it happen – with plans for events and concerts agreed, operators and tenants for the venues secured, permission to build thousands of new homes granted, and 20 elite sporting championships either won or bid for over the next five years.”

To book free public bus tours of the park contactparktours@springboard-marketing.co.uk or call 0800 023 2030.
