A special assembly was held in the morning at Selwyn Primary School in Cecil Road to mark the fundraising day and the children attended in their bedtime best.

Pupils donated £2 each to go about their learning in comfort with the proceeds going towards The Children’s Trust, a national charity working with children with acquired brain injury, multiple disabilities and complex health needs thorugh rehabilitation programmes, short family breaks and residential care.

Other schools nationwide joined in the charity effort for Humphrey’s Pajama Week which uses Humphrey, the cuddly pink elephant adorning greetings cards to soft toys to baby skin care, to promote cause on behalf of The Children’s Trust.

A day filled with educational and fun activities at Selwyn meant the children came home ready for bed.
