People keen to keep an eye on the transformation of the Olympic Park are now able to do so online.

The London Legacy Development Corporation will guide visitors to the attractions the site - to be renamed the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in July 2013 - will have on offer.

Those who sign up at www.noordinarypark.co.uk will also get updates on any new homes, jobs and business opportunities, and cultural events.

Interim chief executive Dennis Hone said: “The Park’s fantastic venues will give people the chance to follow in the footsteps of our great Olympians and Paralympians.”

The corporation has also appointed a new team to head up its planning unit.

It will become the planning authority for the Park and surrounding parts of Stratford, including the Carpenters Estate, from Monday.

Vivienne Ramsey, currently at the Olympic Delivery Authority, will head up a team that will prepare a local plan for the area.

She said: “We look forward to working closely with the boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest and the Mayor’s Office to develop a planning service that works for all communities.”
