In December the Trust introduced the new open wireless network, offering patients and visitors internet access at affordable rates.

Shaun Jeffery, ICT Manager for the Trust, said: “This is an exciting development for the Trust. This type of service makes a real difference to the patient experience, as for many people internet access is a vital lifeline. Being able to offer internet access is another service that will help to make Newham the hospital of choice.”

The service provided by WIFI Spark costs just £3.20 for three hours, £6 for 24 hours, £11.50 for a week and £15.20 for a month. It is easy to access by simply choosing ‘WiFiSpark’ when logging onto the internet.
