Motorcyclist fighting for his life after Plaistow crash leaves him with ‘serious head injury’

A 33-year-old man is fighting for his life after his motorcycle collided with a car in Plaistow last night.

Police were called to the Glen Road junction of Prince Regent Lane, next to Newham University Hospital, at 9.20pm to reports of a crash.

They found the motorcyclist with a serious head injury. He was rushed to hospital by paramedics, where he remains in a critical condition.

The car stopped at the scene. The driver has not been arrested and is said to be assisting police with their inquiries.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) on 0208 5974874 or 101.
